Values

As the LGBTQ+ Pride Center, we value:

Respect – accept somebody for who they are, even when they're different from you or you don't agree with them, and includes feelings of trust, safety, and wellbeing.

Intersectionality - the complex, cumulative way in which the identities of an individual combine, overlap, or intersect especially in the experiences of marginalized individuals or groups.

Education – everyone has something important to contribute to a situation which is built on the knowledge and experience the individual brings with them.

Advocacy - the idea that there is value to the society as a whole when that society defends and upholds the rights of people in the community who are not afforded the same dignity due to disadvantage or discrimination.

Commitments to Community

We are dedicated to creating a space where we center and uplift the experiences of our most vulnerable populations, transwomxn of color, in ways that focus on provocative inquiry and affirmation. To that end, our Community Agreements are commitments that all engaging within this space will be uphold.
